Timothy Combe (born 17 October 1936) is a television director and actor's agent, best known for directing Doctor Who and Z-Cars.〔James Bond and Popular Culture: Essays on the Influence of the Fictional Superspy, Michele Brittany, McFarland, 2014〕 After starting with the BBC as an Assistant Floor Manager (in which role he worked on seminal Doctor Who serial, ''The Evil of the Daleks'' in 1967), he moved into directing in 1968, beginning with ''Z-Cars'', the popular and long-running police series.
